Such is Olivier Piguet's motto, who set up the Watchmaking Training Center in the Vallée de Joux.

The object of the training center is, for anybody, to be able to dismantle and to reassemble a mechanical watch movement on your own, whilst discovering the details of it's working therory accessible to all. You leave with your own skeleton watch reassembled by yourself.

Lessons

A maiden voyage into the interior of the mechanical watch

- Dismandling and reassembling a mechanical movement to discover its components and their functions
- Complete winding of a skeleton watch by yourself
- Alternating amounts of theory and practice along with technical explanations
- Open to everybody: beginners, aficionados and enthusiasts
- Glimpses into the history of watchmaking and description of the main components

for the 2 days of lessons and the elements of your future watch, according to the choice of skeletonization of the movement or the case.

In order to preserve the quality of teaching, the courses will be made up 2 followed days by groups of 3 participants, week or week end.

Day 1 : THE BASICS
How to dismantle and reassemble the movement of a mechanical watch, 16
½’’’ calibre (37 mm. diameter), along with the theory of its «magical» function.

Jour 2 : MY BIG SKELETON
How to handle all the parts of your skeleton wrist watch with its manual movement
16 ½’’’ calibre (37 mm. diameter). How to take charge of its reassembling, its oiling and finally its case-fitting. You leave with your own watch reassembled by
yourself.

All materials, tools and exercise movements
supplied.
